Research and Evaluation

We have conducted five evaluations that demonstrate the effectiveness of the Kids Have Stress Too! and Stress Lessons programs with University of Toronto, York Region Public Health, and Ryerson University.  Click here to access a summary of our various program evaluations.

Research confirms the positive impact of our programs with highlights below:

  • parents reported a considerable increase in their ability to help their children cope with stress and reported an appreciable increase in their sense of competence to model and teach stress management techniques.

  • students increased their knowledge of stress-related topics and coping mechanisms between the pre-test and the post-test.
  • majority of respondents reported learning at least one new way to deal with stress and reported knowing more about stress after the workshop.
  • teacher respondents found the resources helpful, useful and met their expectations in teaching students about stress and coping techniques.
