Dr. Julaine Brent is a research officer at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study (OISE, University of Toronto).  She manages research projects related to early child development and education.  She is currently managing a SSHRC funded, longitudinal study on full day kindergarten with Dr. Janette Pelletier.

Julaine received her Masters Degree in 2002 and her Ph.D. in 2010 both in Developmental Psychology, from the University of Toronto.  Her research examined the attachment relationship with parents and educators as children made the transition to school. She obtained a general honours B.A. in Psychology from Glendon College, York University in 1994 and a B.A. in Humanistic Studies from St. Mary’s College of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana in 1973.
