LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We are dedicated to learning the true history of Canada and Indigenous history and understand that this knowledge is important to promoting an inclusive learning environment and contributing to decolonization. Prior to delivering our programs, if you have not already hosted a land acknowledgment, we suggest you take a moment to identify the land you are on and share this acknowledgement with the children and youth you support.
Tips when creating your own land acknowledgment:
- As the host, acknowledge the land that you, personally, are on
- Recognize that many others may be located in different lands
- Invite others to acknowledge their own land if possible
